Oh, I just LOVE Spring! It started here in Australia on September 1st, and has been glorious! We've had a couple of days of light rain, but other than that, it's been beautiful. Not too hot, not too cold - my kinda weather.
A few things have been happening here so here's a lil briefing ...
~ Yesterday was Father's Day here. Don't know why it's different to the US, since we celebrate Mother's Day on the same day hmmm!
~ We got Mr H a grinder and a block of his favourite chocolate.
~ I have a sick household, and we all seem to have different ailments. Mr H came down with the flu over the weekend. DD A has had a niggly, dry cough the past week or so, resulting in a lack of sleep for everyone, except the boy who will sleep through anything lol Speaking of the boy - he has a runny nose. And me - I have hayfever. Fun .... NOT!!!
~ We went on a bedding spending spree. We only went in to see prices for trundle beds, and came out with a much needed mattress for us, 2 single wooden beds for A & J, & the trundle bed + mattress for when step-son J sleeps over. Reason being in the new house, we will only have 3 bedrooms instead of 4 so needed to downsize. Kidlets beds are wire based and getting warped. The kidlets beds are in storage until we move so they don't get damaged. Mr H and I are enjoying our new mattress - HEAVEN to sleep on!!!
~ Mr H traded his big 4wd Pajero over the weekend for a family sedan (2004 Holden Commodore). With the cost of petrol these days, the big car was too expensive to drive. ps I'm jealous because his new car has all these cool gadgets boohoo!!! lol
~ Things are progressing with our new home. We are almost at the building stage. Last week we put in our selections for tiles, bricks, roof tiles, etc. And in a week or so we will see the kitchen place for all cupboards, bench tops etc. Then we have our final interview to confirm everything. Approx. 4 weeks after that building will begin. WAHOOOOOOO!!!
And thus concludes my lil update ...
