New Shed

A couple of weeks ago, Mr H's beloved shed was put up on our block of land. He's very proud of the fact the he made all the parts for it. He works for a steel manufacturing business which makes sheds/garages, fences etc. The job was too big for him to put it up himself, like he had planned, but at least he can stake a claim on making all the bits & pieces for it.

So things are moving along slooooowly at the block. The same day that the paths and shed floor were laid, the plumbers were out putting in the septic tank system. Hopefully this week or the next we will see the framework done on the house because I am kinda over seeing the foundation now lol

The "C" Word!

Over the weekend we were all sharing a family moment in the games room watching tv together. My 9 year old daughter, Miss A, was sitting in between hubby and I when she started up a conversation about the "C" word. I don't even know what made her think about it, as we were all kinda talking at the same time, laughing etc.

Miss A (looking at me) : "You know, the C word isn't really a swear word, is it?"

Hubby and I look at each other in horror.

Me (nervously asking) : "What C word?"

Miss A : "You know, the C word lots of people say."

Hubby and I look at each other again, this time with puzzled looks.

Dare I ask again? ....

Me : "What C word are you talking about?"

Miss A : "You know! People say it all the time. It's not really a swear word. It's just not nice to say."

Hubby and I give each other the "I hope she doesn't mean what we think she means" look ...

I sat there for a little bit trying to figure out where she heard THAT "C" word since we don't ever use it. Then it dawned on me ...

Me : "Ooooh, you mean ... crap?"

Miss A : "YES!!!" (whispers) "Crap!"

We then went on to discuss why CRAP is not a nice word to describe things we don't like, much to my relief lol
